REFLECTION
1. WENDY YONG YEE LING (86049)
When I found out that we were going to start our own business, I was overjoyed. I met with my team members, and we began to discuss what products we should sell. Therefore, my team members and I have agreed to sell tart nanas and butter cheese. The aim of our business is to make profit and to raise fun. We start to plan our business by designing a business model canvas. Using BMC, we categorize our key partners, key activities, key resources, value propositions, customer relationships, customer segments, promotional channels, cost structure, and revenue streams. As a marketing manager, I learned that we can make full use of social media platforms such as Instagram to expand our business and push our sales. I am very grateful that this group assignment gave me the opportunity to manage a business with my group members. I believe that these experiences can help me a lot in the days to come. Of course, these experiences are not enough for me to fully grasp how to run a business well. I will also learn more about how to manage a business.
2. SHERINA DIANA BINTI SAPAWAI (85682)
On November 5, 2022, our group of six members held a food business project to fulfil the requirements in the MPU322 subject of entrepreneurship. Our group sold two types of biscuits which is pineapple tart cookies and butter cheese cookies. Our business name is Sugary Delights by Little Sugars. The entrepreneurship project that was carried out throughout semester 1 has indeed given me an interest in learning more about the business world, even though at first I was not interested and never knew about entrepreneurship. The experience I've gained while running this business is a new one for me. Among the skills that I have learned in this entrepreneurial project are good communication skills between each group member and how to communicate with suppliers. Communication is very important in business to avoid any conflict that may arise. In addition, this entrepreneurial project also taught me to be more careful when doing things. This is said because I am the leader of the entrepreneurial unit of our group. Therefore, any difficulties that occur among group members are resolved with the necessary requirements and instructions from a unit leader. Next, I also need to adapt to new ideas and information received either directly or indirectly. Finally, this project shaped me to improve my performance over time in order to meet the set standards of excellence. Overall this subject, MPU3222 "Foundation of Entrepreneurship Inculturation," has taught me to prepare, act, and seize opportunities that come to get information in the real world of an entrepreneur. In fact, this assignment taught me to overcome obstacles and hurdles in an effort to achieve business objectives.
3. EVA NATASHA ANAK SPENCER (83805)
In this course, I learnt a lot of things about business. Although I never take any business subject in secondary schools but I am glad that I have experience to take this course . We also have assignments in this course. There are six of us and each one of us have task contributions. Our product is cookies, tart nanas and butter cheese. We named our product Sugary Delights by Little Sugarss. It only cost RM8 and size standard jar. We promotes our business product on social media such as Facebook and Instagram. By doing our business, we always refer to Business Model Canvas to sell our product much easier.We manage to sell our product more than RM100. Our customers also give feedback because they like our product which make us feel happy and relief. Through this I have opportunity to gain self-knowledge about business and understand more about it.
4. SYLVIA KONG LI YEE (85868)
Through this business, I have learned a lot of knowledge about running a business. At the beginning, my team members and I were very hesitant to decide what products or services to sell. In the end, we decided to sell cookies, but not cookies made by ourselves, is from any supplier. Our leader, Sherina decided to get cookies from supplier named ‘little sugarss’. We were given two types of cookies, tart nanas and butter cheese. Our team leader, Sherina, finalized the first sale and we started with 12 cans of cookies each type. The cost is RM7 per can, and after some discussion we decided to sell it for RM8, making a profit of only RM1. Small profits but quick return is our strategy. As expected, 24 cans of cookies were sold in less than two days. The good response led us to launch the second round directly, and this time we took 25 cans from the supplier. The second order was also closed within three days. As we are busy with our assignments and mid term exam afterwards, we have decided to discontinue our business at this point. In just one week, our sales nearly RM400. In fact, my plan is to purchase a large number of different kinds of cookies from more different suppliers, our price is lower than others seller, monopolize the market in unimas, and then raise the price appropriately, so that we can continue to collect a lot of profits.
5. FITRI NUR ADIBAH BINTI IKMAL HISHAM (83892)
During this subject, I learned a lot of about entrepreneurship and how to manage a business. I also acquire a knowledge of teamwork and overcoming challenges throughout the business project. We had a hard time finding a supplier for our products. It is also very hard to keep up with trend in the field of entrepreneurship as they are not our expertise. We encountered a lot of obstacle to make our business stand out and can attract people to get know our brand. I developed multiple ways to do the marketing as well as the planning the business. I am grateful to have a group member that are very cooperative. I am very fortunate to work with them.
6. SYAZA DIYANA BINTI DAUD (85850)
The class foundation of Entrepreneurship Inculturation by way of Sir Mohd Yasin became a very well fun elegance to take because it tackled a large quantity of issues and topics that i found to be both thrilling and applicable to the enterprise international, at the side of startup investments.
